maintaining conditioning levels

Hi, for the upper body strength stuff, say the pushups where we have to do multiple sets of 15 reps.  Once we can do that and we move on to the next level, is it assumed that just by doing more difficult work we'll be able to maintain the conditioning on the previous level?

For example, I find high rep pushups particularly difficult compared to more advanced exercises like dips which in the course is considered a much more advanced level however, I find doing the 5 sets of 5 on that miles easier than doing multiple sets of 15 on pushups - to me they are targetting different things (muscle stamina vs muscle strength).

Do I need to do anything in particular to maintain the conditioning for pushups or will they stay intact just by moving on through the levels in the upper body course?

Hi Phil, this concept was already discussed many times in the "warmup" posts.

foundations work with plain of work...horizontal supported, vertical, vertical inverted, horizontal unsupported, and multiplanes.

so if you are in a segment you are going to use the mastery REPS of the last mastered exercise as a specific warmup.

If you have completed one segment you are going to use the mastery REPS of the last exercise of the completed segment plus the mastery REPS of the last mastered exercise of the current segment.
