Hi Barry, there are many corrections needed, my impression is that you are not holding all the milestone details from the beginning, you are adding it little by little during the set. for example:

-elbows are bent, you are locking them out during the set, this is a mistake;

-no hollow position and protraction at the beginning, it appears a bit during the set;

-feet should be together;

begin by correcting all these things before beginning the lean, it is definitely more important.

Thanks for the feedback and reality check!  Will wind it back and focus on these pointers.

Hi Barry there is a bit of wing of the scapulae, meaning that protraction is not enough.

Barry Thorn

Thanks - I'll work on protraction.  Is the lean enough do you think?

Thanks

Barry

Alessandro Mainente

nope it is not enough. considering the protraction not enough there is no reason to think about "more lean".

Barry Thorn

OK thanks.

Hi Alessandro

Are there any improvements here with my shoulder protraction?  It feels like I am pressing as hard as I can but not sure whether it is enough.

One cm more of lean and you will reach the desired range fo motion. now if you cannot hold the new range for at least six seconds, stay on the one you have shown in the video until you can perform 15-18 seconds, then step back to 6 seconds BUT adding the one cm more in the range of motion.

Perfect - thanks Alessandro!

Almost...couple of cm's more.
