Hi guys,
i'm searching for a video i saw on youtube some time ago. Unfortunately i don't remember neither the title nor the creator of this video, but i can tell you about the content:
A guy was showing a technique for rapidly increasing the ROM for a standing pike stretch. First he showed the current flexibility of a participant, who had a gap a few inches wide between his fingers and his toes. Then he made him stand with his toes elevated about 1 1/2 on a small block and his heels on the ground. Next, he told the guy to place a small ball between his knees and touch his toes, bending his knees as necessary. He made him do 10-15 repetitions, then he had to switch the position; now his heels were elevated and his toes placed on the floor. Again he made him do 10-15 repetitions and then they tested his flexibility again.
Now he easily reached his toes.
Long story short, a few days ago i remembered the video and tried it on myself and it worked pretty well - After doing the routine, i can easily touch my toes, normally i'm missing at least 1-2 inches.
Does anybody remember the video? I'm pretty sure it was posted here, but i can't find it. If i remember correctly, it was small sample of a stretching program or DVD.
