Correct Way to do a Muscle-up

I've noticed how some people keep a hollow body through most of the movement and seem to lean straight into the transition... However, a friend of mine was coaching me through my deadhang muscle-up and he was telling me to arch my back (like in a bench press) and touch the rings with my chest before leaning into the transition.

What's the "correct" way to do this? I don't want to be practicing bad movement patterns...

By arching back you are effectively leaning back and then using the rock forward as an assist to execute the MU.

Minimize or don't use this.

Short version -- Don't arch.
