Hi, ive noticed a big gap in my toepointing. Left foot is much Stiffer. Its atleast 2cm difference.

Passive stretching doesnt seem to do the work. Im wondering if we have some plantarflexion strength work(level1) i can do from F1-f4?

I think i need more strength. Thank you!

Jonas,

Strength per se isn’t the issue if you are having a range of motion (ROM) deficiency. There could be a variety of reasons why that could happen. Im not a medical doctor or physical therapist, to be clear. I have worked for the past five years with a variety of athletes and can answer from my educational and professional background, as well as my experience in the GB programs.

If you have no previous injury, or damaged tissue from an accident, you may respond well to the stetch series. I have been doing the series (particularly front split) for over two years and within 6 months saw changes. At 12-15 months highly noticeable, and now nearly 26 months in, pretty decent.

Hope this helps.

I appreciate your time and experience on the topic Leon.

However, ive been doing FSS for just as long as uou, ive improved in alot of areas by doing the FSS, but plantar flexion is not one of Them.

Its definitely possible this problem comes from the hip.. But since im not currently doing any conditioning work for plantar flexion, i guess it couldnt hurt trying it for a month or two while simontaniously doing the FSS.

Not sure if there are any exercises for a strong point in foundations except pointing the toes all over the place :)
