Hey all. Wondering how my dislocates are looking. Ignore the stick shakes - had to re-center the weight a few times!

Alessandro Mainente

Hi Benjamin, actually the movement in the posterior part is very asymmetric, there is no reason to add weight or reducing the grip until it is fixed. on the opposite in order to fix it , grip should be increased and weight dropped.

Thanks Alessandro. Can you elaborate on what you mean by that? Do you mean that one shoulder is more mobile than the other?

just looking for clarity. :)

Alessandro Mainente

Yes, if the bar is always held parallel to the floor the 2 shoulders are symmetric if not the opposite.

Benjamin Nutt

@Alessandro Mainente, have been trying these with zero weight and feeling much better. Any tips/corrections?

Jeffrey Bittner

Nice work, Benjamin! Keep trying to elevate your right shoulder more through the top of the movement. If possible, I recommend doing these in front of a mirror so that you can make sure the bar is level during your reps. Keep it up!

Alessandro Mainente

Accordingly with what Jeffrey said above, you must search a grip so that the movement is always symmetrical. quality comes first.

Benjamin Nutt

@Alessandro Mainente and @Jeffrey Bittner, per your recommendations I've done the following:

  1. Widened my grip by about one hand width
  2. Slowed the movement down to focus on moving the bar symmetrically

Would love feedback on this:

Alessandro Mainente

NIcely done, notice the symmetrical movement.

Jeffrey Bittner

Awesome job, Benjamin!

Benjamin Nutt

Thanks guys.

curious: does this grip qualify for mastery? I know I need to add weight, but I’m curious about the hand distance specifically.

Alessandro Mainente

The mastery requires a grip that is something like shoulder width plus 8-10 cm on each side PLUS  the weigth.

Great. What is the minimum weight required for mastery?

Jeffrey Bittner

@Benjamin Nutt Mastery weight is 8-10 lbs (3-4 Kg)
