I definitely have the strength for SLS, but I don't have the mobility to roll up into the full deck squat yet. Driving me nuts as I've been stuck here for about 6+ months. I'm not sure what my primary limitation is - achilles, quads, butt, something else? Would appreciate knowing what it looks like my primary limitations are - thanks.

Hi Michael , probably you need to hold the upper leg tucked to the upper body, in this way you do not open any angle, the leverage is still the same and you can hold the speed. on the opposite, if you fall to hold the knees probably you will increase the leverage and the body will lose speed.

@Alessandro Mainente is this what you're referring to - literally holding the legs in tight to maintain leverage (not entirely sure what you mean by leverage in this context)?

Alessandro Mainente

Very nice now, i was meaning that if you lose the contact between the upper leg and upper body a part of your upper body moves lately, in this way you cannot move the center of gravity over the heels in time to make the squat.

It's not considered cheating to pull my legs to maintain the leverage?

Alessandro Mainente

not now, if you are tight in the ankles due to previous injuries you have low possibilities to reach forward while doing the movement slowly. on the other side, since the goal is leg conditioning, is not a real matter if you a bit of momentum to reach the lower position, because you still begin from a deep squat position.
