Trying to clarify a few form points for Standing Weighted Oblique Stretch.
1. Should the arm holding the weight be engaged or relaxed at the shoulder?
2. Why are the feet supposed to be separated? It seems like there's more stretch with the together?
3. Coming out of the stretch feels strained. Any suggestions on ways to exit the stretch with less strain?

HI Carol, the hand holding the weight should be depressed.
feet together is necessary for the balance, as you progress into the side bend the common tendency is falling to the side and the opposite (the one you are stretching) will begin to squeeze in order to avoid the body falling to the side. if you move legs apart this will not happen.
when you exit from the stretch take off the weight from the hand and bend forward first.
