Scaling/Programming Sets and Reps in F2

How does everyone scale and program sets and reps in Foundation 2 and onwards where the sets/reps are not provided?

Whenever I progress to a new exercise it recommends that I start right at the maximum (ie, 10r x 5s, or similar), instead of providing a stepwise progression towards mastery like in F1. Is there a resource I am missing that provides instruction or do I just figure it out myself based on how F1 progressions worked? Any tips are appreciated. Thank you!

Hi John,

sets and reps are still provided on F2. The only differences are that there are no follow along videos and you will have to log your sets and reps instead of using the smileys.

Please let us know if you have further questions

Hey John. When you progress to a new level, the first workout has you test at the mastery level. Record your number of sets and reps completed and the system will calculate your next workout at the appropriate step within the progression.

When you begin the F2 you are at the point where you can test the mastery. so if the mastery is 5x5, try it, take note of the results.

if you cannot perform the mastery then sum the total reps of all the sets, divide them for the number of sets, you will have the average...begin from the setxrep schedule closer to the average.

ex: test on 5x5, result is 55332, total reps: 18, divided into 5 is 3,6 so you begin from 4x4.
