Quadrupedal Movements question (AKA: not another QP Movement thread!)

Hi all,

Wondering about how y’all program your QP Movements.

Currently I’m spending 5 minutes on each movement for a total block of 30 minutes spent with these. It is time consuming, to say the very least.

I’m wondering if it would behoove me to scatter these out:

1. Spend 5 minutes on ONE movement each day ( 5min crab Monday, 5 Min lizard Tuesday and so on)

2. Spend 2 minutes on all six Movements on T1 days.

that way I’m spreading the work through the week, maintaining conditioning, and shortening total training time on T1 days.

any thoughts?

It can be an option for sure, but if you are doing one day dedicated to the movement you should perform only on one day.

How is your week schedule?

I am doing all in one day, takes me more like 40 mins with rests to get 5 mins on each. It leaves me totally gassed, but it is getting to be my favorite workout of the week. The rest of the movement workout is technical and not very muscularly challenging, so it works for me.

Weekly schedule is:

M: Core

T: Handstand + Middle Split

W: Upper Body

Tr: Lower Body

F: Handstand + Front Split

Sa: Movement

Su: T-Bridge

My plan would be to incorporate 5min of a single animal movement per day Sunday through Friday, and then do 2-3 minutes each of all six movements on Saturday.

Well, for now, perform one single day of movement! progressing through foundations and handstand is the primary goal.

@Alessandro Mainente if someone is not currently doing the Movement workout because is already struggling to fit foundation+headstand+stretching in a week, would you advise to use the quadrupedal movements as warm-ups for the other workouts (instead of skipping ropes for instance)?

Alessandro Mainente

It can be an option, the primary goal of warm-up is having the HR higher before beginning the general warm up.
