Splitting Stretch Series Workouts

GB Team,

I want to get some perspectives on taking each of the Stretch Series workouts and splitting them into two. This way, instead of completing each of the three stretch workouts in 45 minutes over three days each week, splitting each workout in half and completing each of the six halves of the stretch workouts in 20-25 minutes over six days each week (after Foundations/Handstand/Movement training).

So for example, I currently do:

  • Mon
    • Power Clean, Squat
  • Tue
    • FL, SL, MN (Core)
  • Wed
    • SLS, Deadlift (Lower +)
    • Front Split
  • Thu
    • WPU, HS, pHS
  • Fri
    • Tumbling, Lunge (Movement +)
    • Middle Split
  • Sat
    • HBP, RC, sPL (Upper)
    • Thoracic Bridge
  • Sun
    • Rest

And if I try the Stretch Series workouts split in half

  • Mon
    • Power Clean, Squat
    • Front Split 1/2
  • Tue
    • FL, SL, MN (Core)
    • Front Split 2/2
  • Wed
    • SLS, Deadlift (Lower +)
    • Middle Split 1/2
  • Thu
    • WPU, HS, pHS
    • Middle Split 2/2
  • Fri
    • Tumbling, Lunge (Movement +)
    • Thoracic Bridge 1/2
  • Sat
    • HBP, RC, sPL (Upper)
    • Thoracic Bridge 2/2
  • Sun
    • Rest

Hi Andrew,

Thanks for reaching out.

I recommend to stick to your current schedule. This will help you to push harder during the Stretch series and also more time to recover in betwee the sessions :)
