I'm not sure what is causing me to land this way, but it looks wrong. Also there's probably other things wrong with it. Any advice?

It would be OK if you landed higher. Just kick the back leg up harder and kick the landing leg down when ready to land.

It only seems bad because you land with your chest low. You'll have it soon $\":D\"$
