Hi.

Relative new membraner with few posts.

I have a question regarding all three stretch programmes, i sometimes find myself unable to keep the schedual and go through the complete stretch routine. This happens when my work has me away, at times i stay in tented camps for weeks at a time.  if you could select three exercises from each of the stretch routines, what would it be and why.

Cheers

Hey Jan,

For all three courses, my top choices would be the stretches nearing the end. However, those require a good warmup, which is why I don't suggest jumping straight to them.

One idea I have for you is rather than just picking the same few exercises to do instead of the entire series, consider picking a couple of the easier (earlier) stretches and a couple of the later, more intense ones. Be sure to change the exercises up each time you stretch and do the easier first as a "warmup" and then ease into the more difficult ones. This would allow you to get exposure to all of the stretches of multiple sessions.

And of course depending on your limitations give more importance to your weak link.

Thanks for the reply, seems like good suggestions. Should mention that i am stiff as a log, to the point where sitting on the floor is a challenge, so the stretches right at the end are extremely difficult to even get within sight of.

In that case, just pick from the exercises you can perform properly and, like Alex said, put more emphasis on the stretches that target areas you are tightest in.
