Hi everyone,

I'm able to get into a pretty good full bridge but was wondering how open the shoulders must be?  When I open them up, I'm able to go further, is it what we want?

Here's de video, you'll see me playing with my shoulders angles and retracting them feels better.

Thanks!

Nice work Étienne, could you please post a video with a side view as well? :)

Thanks Pauline! Sure yeah!

But which shoulders position is better?

Alessandro Mainente

The position must be held in neutral position, retraction leads to a more internal rotation that is bad on full flexion, also internal rotation does not lead to superior lats stretch.

Much more important notice that the hands are too wide, the bridge should be performed with wrists immediately under the shoulders. this can be achieved by starting the bridge with hands closer to the ears.

Thanks Alessandro,

I'll clear my hands!

Hi @Pauline Taube,

Here's the side view :)

Very Nice work, Étienne :D always room for improvement. Especially your shoulder flexion and Thoracic extension. Still a bit of arch in the lumbar.

Keep up the great work, it’s always fun seing your improvements :)
