iM (Mobility) Mastery

Hi,

My question is about the mobility exercises.

as you complete a mobility exercise and achieve the desired mastery, I presume it should remain in your programming to an extent (as much as is individually needed to maintain or improve, based on needs and goals). I don't have much experience with long term or complex programming and was wondering as you achieve mastery on more and more iM's, what is the best course of action to keep them in your programming? as part of a warm up or cool down? as separate "mini workouts" or something else?

thanks GB Community :)

Hi Christopher,

Excellent question.

Both are great ideas as using them for a warm up and or a cool down. I tend to warm up with the previous exercises and always keep the ones that were a struggle for me in my weekly programming.

The best do the basics better!  :)

Thank you Tanya! :)

If it's a struggle for you, it's probably worth keeping in long term in some fashion :)

Some are good to build the weight up long term, like Jefferson curls; others just feel excellent, like the stall bar pike work.

It's worth occasionally revisiting the ones you haven't done in while, even on an off day play-around, for the sake of an unfamiliar stimulus too :)
