It looks good, Ryan! Holding PPT while you do this exercise will help you better prepare for your handstand. The goal of each progression in the course is to mimic a real handstand shape as much as possible.
Can you also upload a video from the front?

Thanks for the feedback! I thought I was holding strong PPT throughout but hard to tell with a shirt on. I will post one without a shirt to make sure.
@Jeffrey Bittner
how does this look?
Awesome job, Ryan!
just checking in to get another look at this and get an idea for what I should be aiming to truely master this exercise.
1) height. Im aiming to have optimal active shoulder flexion with strong PPT. Ideal goal im aiming for is arms at or above the top of my head.
2) shoulder positioning. Just to confirm shoulders should be elevated and protracted in this position
3) weight. Right now im usuing a unweighted dowel. Ideal goal would be around 5-8lbs before moving on.
let me know if these fall in line for the GB standards for mastery for this exercise, or if my expectations should be altered.
Hery Ryan, first remember to:
-keep your chin on the floor so that you can see the hands with the peripheral vision;
-if you protract then your armpit should move closer to the floor.

Hi! I’m at this step to and wondering about the weight for mastery? How much would be acceptable to move on? Both PE and iM would be nice to know. Maybe one of the coaches could give us a hint?
And great work btw Ryan!
Hi Nils,
Great question! You should aim for about 5lbs for both PEs and iMs here

Hey Nils, from my experience a common error is making pressure with the forehead, for this reason if you use your pheipeal vision and you cannot see the thumbs then you are not using a proper head positioning. the ideal situation is the one where you pu the chin on the floor and you can still see the thumbs.
