Please provide any tips or feedback on my form in this PE

Tanya Hill

Hi Kian, This exercises is such a killer.  I like your effort to hold the hollow body shape. From this angle of the video it looks like a bit more protraction needs to happen. Can you send in a second video of the top view of the shoulders?

Alessandro Mainente

Nice eye from Tanya, protraction: try to externally rotate the upper arm so that your forearms are facing the wall, this will lead to the armpit to be closer to the floor.

Thank you both for the tips. Here are two videos of the PE focusing on protraction and a video of the iM.

Hey Kian, well int he prone flexion there is no protraction but the opposite, retraction. when protraction it is activated on the flexion the upper arm externally rotate, the grip becomes to be more intense on the outside edge of the palm and the inner elbows begin to face the ceiling and not the floor. this is the only way to move the armpit closer to the floor.

Here is my latest attempt using the tips you provided

This is better, pay attention that your left shoulder it is not completely elevated, also hold the wrists in the neutral position without too many wrists extension.
