This is 5th set of planche bounce. Looking for some form feedback...
@Caleb Mcmahan
From the very start of your set, your shoulders fail to achieve full protraction. As a result, your lower back has picked up a fair share of the work.
When you set up for your bounces. start off by spreading your back wide to give you the sensation that your upper back is curling. Say hello, to you lower traps here.
From that position, press through your upper back to lift the weight of your entire torso into the air to bounce. This will strengthen the position needed for a solid straddle planche down the road.
ahh bitter sweet! ok awesome feedback. thank you!
Hey @Mikey Cunanan, could we please revisit my planche bounces? I've also included a video of a 30 sec hold after the bounce sets. Which height for my feet looks more appropriate? Are my traps getting more of a 'greeting' on these than before?
thanks a lot!
Hi Caleb, the primary goal it is to hold the amount of lean that you have already mastered. If you look closer to your bounce you can notice that you are reducing the lean if compared to the lower video.
Thanks for the feedback @AlessandroMainente. You’re right, my lean is more in the static video. I think maybe in bc my feet are lower? Which height for feet do you think is more appropriate?
Hey @Caleb Mcmahan ,
How's it going? I believe it's more a matter of starting in the right position. Rather than starting from a pike (first video) try starting from your elevated planche lean position (second video). This will allow you to keep the core tension necessary to successfully complete the bounces.
Press downward with your hands, while curling your upper back upwards to initiate your bounces. If executed correctly, your lower back will stay relatively flat.
thanks mikey... ok, feedback noted. feel like i'm making some gains on this. will be posting back shortly. thanks!!
