Hey guys finally made it through to the last to RC progressions. I’m trying to understand the difference between the last two progressions. 5x5/4 and 5x5/2.  The video look like he takes 16 steps. So is it 1 1/4 and 2 1/2 of a 16’ rope climb? Im working with a 12” ceiling. So is it 20’ and then doubled to 40’?

Hey Darren 5/2 means 2.5 meters while 5/4 means 1.25 meter.

fro the rope climbing 5r equals 5 meters, 1 r = 1mt.

That particular information was found in the overall course material.

Going off of notes:

{For single repetitions on a 8ft(2.44m) or 16ft(4.88m) ropes and starting in a seated position.}
1/4 RC: climb up a quarter of the way and then all the way down.
1/2 RC: climb half way up and then all the way down.
3/4 RC: climb up three fourths of way and then back down.
1 RC: climb the full length up and then back down
5/4 RC: climb the full length up, down a quarter of the way and then back to the top before climbing down.
3/2 RC:  All the way up, down half way, and then back to the top before climbing down.
2 RC: All the way up and down twice. Lowering all the way down on the second time.
5/2 RC: All the way up and down, up to the top again, descend half way, and ascend to top before lowering all the way down to the ground.
