- first go at Mana PE 3. 4x6 reps. how does it look? Also should I aim to get my thighs to my chest before adding volume onto this? Any tips on where to aim my hands ( reach for the toes, or keep as is?)
Thanks!

That's a really nice first try, Ryan ![]()
Always strive to get your thighs to your chest, but feel free to progress on these.As you add more volume you also get to practice more on the compression. Try to reach forward with your hands (like you already do), this way it'll be easier to focus on that compression ![]()

Fighting for every millimeter here. Just thought Id check in to see if this is acceptable knee bend at the top of the rep.

Hey Ryan,
During this phase of the v up, the goal is to achieve the maximum amount of core compression. However, we do not want to round too much from the upper back. Reach up towards your feet at the top to keep your back relatively straight.
at the top you should be able to pause momentarily in the "v" position. To assess this key aspect of the movement we will need to see a video of your execution.
@Mikey Cunanan made some little adjustments based off what you said. How does this look? Trying to not flex at the spine as much and reach more or less up to the toes.
@Ryan Segervall
Excellent improvement! Now its time to build up to mastery volume. Nice work Ryan!
- working my up the progression scheme. at 4x12 now. wanted to check in to see how things are looking
Awesome job, Ryan.
As you get tired your reps start to get jerky. Keep working on doing smooth, controlled reps throughout your sets. Nice work!
Nice @Ryan Segervall
Keep working at it!
After a couple weeks on 4x12 I gave 4x15 a try. Last set was tough an range of motion was less. Should I stay at 4x15 or back down to 4x12? Also my set up for the IM is on the other side of the room, I will try to get a shot of me preforming the Im next session.
Hey Ryan,
Awesome job! It looks like 4x15 is a good place to keep working. your ROM on your last set looks pretty good. Keep trying to control the speed of your v-ups rather than exploding out of the bottom. Keep up the great work!
