Rather than focus on trying to lift your legs, is it a useful cue to think of pulling your hips backwards? Is the goal to create as much weight behind your hands as in front to act as a counterbalance, or is is it just brute force?

Hi Scott,
Great questions.
The L-sit starts with the shoulders. When you put your hands on the ground you also have to depress your shoulder down away from your ears. You are correct in shifting your hips back to counterbalance the weight.
As you progress into your Core work L sits will soon be done with hips right at arms and then soon hips in front of your arms!!! ![]()
many thanks Tanya
