I was watching the video of the Vertical Pike Walk and was wondering how to do it at my local gym that has no stall bars. My wife came to the rescue. Use the smith machine of course. Put a step at the bottom and wedge it at the back side so it does not move and you can use that to simulate the lower bar that you will push against with your feet. Then arrange the smith machine bar to be at the starting position of the hands bar. After you do the first rep, lower the smith machine bar one step down and do the next rep. Then repeat for the third rep. Then you go up again. Ta ta.
How genius. Instead of moving the legs up a step you use the smith machine and move the hand down a step. Problem solved!!!!!
Hope this helps you guys. I would like to take full credit for the solution, but it was my wife who could think outside the box (or bars).
