Hey Leigh,

Not bad! Nice job sitting up tall in the PE. Just keep working to lock your knees and always straddle as wide as you can.

Relax your upper back and shoulders more during the iM, from the very beginning of the rep. Let the bar hang low.

Leigh Kettle

Hey everett

thanks for your help

not as bad as I was expecting lol

Regarding the pe

. It is such a hard move .

to keep legs wide and locked and try and compress  is so alien to me especially when trying to do all 3

I'll keep at it

Regarding the im

again such  a hard move when you have poor pike flexibility like myself  . I'm Currently working all stretch series tho so hoping this will start to improve

Everett Carroll

Noticeable improvement for sure, Leigh!

You look much more relaxed in the iM. Nice work there.

Spend some extra time holding the top position of the straddle-ups before and after your workout. You still need more compression and some brief holds (30-45s) should really help. Aim for 1-2 sets of those holds before and after. your core workout. Nothing super hard here. Make sure it still feels like warm-up and cool-down intensity.

Leigh Kettle

Thanks everett

tho 30 second holds Are gonna feel like a definite workout and not a warm up lol but yes agree and will definitely spend some time doing this

thanks again

Ryan Bailey

Nice progress Leigh

Leigh Kettle

Thanks Ryan much appreciated :)

@Everett Carrollhi everett

im doing what you said and incorporating some of the top position holds

is this ok?

what exactly should my cue be when in the hold - i.e. Should I be aiming for legs as high or as wide as possible or both and is my torso in correct position

thanks again

leigh

Everett Carroll

Nice position with your torso, Leigh. For your lower half, first straddle as wide as you can. Next, aim to compress as much as you can. Fight to maintain the same straddle width as you work to compress more.

Leigh Kettle

Awesome Everett many thanks again

will work hard at this

hey guys think I can see slow but sure improvement on my Jefferson since August  be interested to hear your thoughts to make sure I'm on right path

incidentally I've not increased the weight in that time

many thanks guys

leigh

Everett Carroll

Hey Leigh,

Nice job remaining patient and not increasing the weight.

Work on relaxing your arms more throughout the curl. Allow the weight to hang loose.

Leigh Kettle

Hey Everett @Everett Carroll

Worked hard on this using all your advice

is this any better mate

many thanks

Leigh

So much better, Leigh. Nice work. They look great to me.

And here’s my j curl - the spine articulation something that is apparent throughout all my gb series - is real hard for me
