HBP PE3 question

Hi,

Thanks for a great forum!

I saw in another thread how far a correct lean is for HBP PE4 (i think it's PE4). One of the coaches attached a photo to illustrate the correct amount of lean - "start with arms below shoulders and knees below hips and then straighten the body".

Is this level of lean ment to be applied at PE3 as well? If that's the case, wouldn't it be better to start master the Planche Lean before the Pseudo Planche PU?

Hi Nicklas,

Excellent question.

HBP/PE3, the Pseudo Planche Push-up (PPP), can have slightly less lean that the planche lean. For PPP's, leaning until your hands are below your bottom ribs is the minimum mastery standard.

For Planche Lean (sPL/PE5), they must be below your hips. I've found that students get a nice intro to forward leaning with PPP's if they reach that progression before Planche Lean.

Okey, thanks for the clarification!
