Hi, are there any alignment cues or things to bear in mind when getting into position and walking hands close to the wall to avoid falling over? I haven't fallen yet but getting into position doesn't feel as stable as I'd like. I feel quite stable once in position. Thanks.

Chest to wall HS - falling over

Hello Scott,
Of course in Handstand basic positioning we prioritise two main positioning aspects which are covered in the course material: PPT (posterior pelvic tilt), as well as slighlty bringing your chest down toward your bellybutton (very slightly). The reason we do this is to create a stack of joints that can balance on top of one another, which will allow us to focus more on the balance than muscling the handstand into a balance if this makes sense. The next part of the handstand puzzle for you to slove will be wrist control which will rely on wrist strength (also covered in handstand one course material). That being said, the best way to help you with your handstand is to watch a video of the movement. Please send us one here to help you.
thanks Luke
