Form check. Am I doing this correct?
You are headed in the right direction Jacob.
1. First knuckle pushups are looking strong. Stack your shoulder over your first knuckle instead of leaning back. This will make it a bit more difficult and prep you to be on your toes.
2. PE5 needs some work
First thing I would like for you to do when working your shoulder flexion on the floor is to rest on your chin. This will ensure your head position is correct. You want to keep your chest on the floor and lift the hands, keep working at this one. When you stand and do your shoulder dislocates you do not maintain a hollow shape when you bring the bar behind you. What I mean by this is you are arching your back and letting your ribs stick out. Try to go a little wider with your hands and focus on keeping your ribs in throughout the full range of motion.
Keep it up, Jacob. The handstand work is so tedious when it comes to shape of the trunk take your time here. Your commitment will shine later.
Thank you for the help. Can not wait until next session!
A simple fast check for your form on the PE5 it is to "use the peripheral vision to see your thumb in the position of maximum flexion". can you see them? if not the neck it is over flexed. touching and making pressure on the forehead it is a common mistake.
