About six weeks ago I fell on my back and suffered a serious strained neck and some pain to my scapula. For the past ten days I have been testing my capabilities and I feel ready to get back to my GST training. I was moving along nicely for about 4 months doing foundation 1 and 2, hand stands, and stretch series. Do you have any tips or recommendations for determining where to start back up?

Thanks.

Hi @Jeremy Hartje,

Thanks for reaching out. The best thing to do is to restart everything back to foundation one and handstand one but on step 9. We never want to train with pain and we want to bring your strength back.

Hi Jeremy,

Sorry to hear that you injured yourself have you got clearance from a medical professional to begin training again and that you are without pain?

It is difficult to determine where you should resume your training as it will depend on how much conditioning you have lost.

However, my recommendation would be to go back to the previous progression that you were working on for each exercise. Start from there and slowly work your way back to the level that you were at. If you find the training too easy then adjust the intensity accordingly. There is no set formula it is just a matter of testing your body to see where it is at.

Good luck and welcome back!
