Hi all,

I'm making good progress with the Tripod but wondered if anyone does anything exercises after to loosen off the neck, from the compression during the Tripod.

Woke up this morning and its a bit stiff and achy.

Thanks Phil

Hi Phil,

The seal rocks from your Thoracic Bridge series may help loosen up the area after completing your tripods. The stiffness is also probably due to your body adjusting to the new demands being placed on it. I'm sure in no time you will adapt and the stiffness will disappear.

Thanks Darin,

I'll give the seal rocks a go after tonight's session.

I'm currently on the master step for Tripod but as its still feeling taxing i'm going to do my 3 sessions this week and see if it gets easier then submit a form review to check its ok :D

Thanks again Phil

Hey Philip you can do a small routine at the end of the handstand work as follow:

-I suppose you have at least one room similar to a rectangle

-sit in the center

-while holding yourself to the chair so that the shoulders are depressed perform these movements:

1-look to the ceiling with neck extension

2-look to the floor with neck flexion

3-with neck in neutral position twist to the left and strive to look the corner on the left behind you

4-with neck in neutral position twist to the right and strive to look the corner on the right behind you

5- flex the knee like if you have to look to the floor and perform from here the point 3 and 4.

Hold all the position for 3-4 seconds and repeat the routine for 8-10 times.

Thanks Alessandro, ill give that a go too, sounds like a nice way to cool down and relax too after the session :D
