Hi

i do the normal deload every 4 weeks, but im feeling a bit tired at the moment, due to a lot of bike riding. So i'm thinking of doing so ekstra deload weeks. I was wondering if less reps or less sets with maximum reps is the way to go. Any thoughts or ideas are welcome...

What is your current GST schedule?

There are so many factors that need to be taken into account that it is difficult to give a proper recommendation as to what may be able to assist you. Are all your post workout recovery methods like proper nutrition and adequate sleep being looked after? You said that you have been doing lots of extra bike riding, is this something that will continue?  The random assigning of fewer sets or reps will not do much to alleviate your condition if you are truly in an overtrained state. Perhaps consider taking a week off all strength training and see if this helps.

IN your case you are experimenting both type of fatigue, one more related to volume (bike riding) while resting from the intensity work (foundations 2).my suggestion it is to rest for 2 week reducing to the half the number of reps and of sets.

Hi current GST schedule is FL/sPL/HBP Monday and Thursday. MN/SL/SLS/RC Tuesday/Friday...bike riding Wednesday/Friday and Sunday. Been doing it, this way for a few years now..

Diet should be okay.

ill give it a try Alessandro, thanks for the input.

Of course there is something wrong NOW compared to 2 years ago, it can be both the volume and intensity of the bike session plus the increased intensity of the foundation work.
