Let me know if that worked!

Hi Tom,

Thank you for double checking your videos.

On your headstand, it looks like one of your biggest issues is stability. As you hold, make sure that you are squeezing your stomach as well as your gluts to help maintain a straight body-line. Also, moving your hands so that they are directly underneath your elbows will help you to feel more control. I would also like to see a video of your tripod to see if there are any details that might impede your headstand progression.

How much does the bar you are using for your iM weigh?

Tom Flynn

the bar is ~5lbs

ill submit a tripod video as well

Hi Tom,

To improve your iM, I would recommend starting off with less weight. Even though 5lbs doesn't seem like much, in the world of mobility, it is a lot of weight. I suggest starting off with an unweighted bar. Once you are able to elevate the bar to 90 degrees with the hands at the correct width, it is time to add weight.

thanks for the feedback, sorry this took so long. here is a video of my tripod.

Hi Tom,

Thanks for uploading a video of your tripod. It looks pretty good. It looks like your elbows are flaring out to the side as you hold. By keeping them in closer to your body and directly over your hands, you will have more control of your body which will help with stability. Keep working on those headstands. I'm looking forward to seeing your improvement!
