Sorry about the bad Camera work, My legs was straight :).

first of all, am I doing these on a correct height or should the Box be smaller?

How are My form on both PE and im?

Everett Carroll

Hi Jonas,

Keep your legs, glutes, and core more firmly engaged. You don't want your hips to pike at all during this movement. The height of the box looks fine. Be sure you are adjusting your feet so that the bottom of your chest meets the box at the bottom of each rep. Good job on the iM. Your ROM will improve with time but your form is good.

They are,, 99% sure

Good for me.

Jonas Berglund

Updating a better quality video on this one. This was 5th set, how is form looking?

Everett Carroll

Hi Jonas,

On this one, a  small step back should put you in a better position. On a couple of reps, your hips piked. Be sure to keep your glutes tight.

Jonas Berglund

This is set 5 of 15 reps. What button should I choose? Easy/fine or failed mobility? I feel the pushups are quite Easy but still working on form.

Jeffrey Bittner

Hi Jonas,

Choosing the difficulty of the exercise using the smiley faces depends on how you feel. From the looks of the video, it looks like you are currently training at a good level of difficulty and should click the 'Fine' smiley face.

Remember to squeeze your gluts to help keep PPT as Everett mentioned previously. I would also like to see more protraction at the top of each rep. Also, you can see in your video that your chin is ducked to your chest. Keep your head in a neutral position while doing this exercise.

Jonas Berglund

Im definitely following your advice, squeeze glutes and core engaged.

not sure if im improving tho?

Everett Carroll

Hey Jonas,

You are protracting more which is great and your body line is also improving. As you press back up to the top, pay attention to your hips. On some reps, your hips would pike slightly.

Jonas Berglund

Thank you Everett, might piking in the bottom be a issue of tight core/ABS? Naturally My body badly wants the Pike. As soon as im Not 100% Focused for one rep, the pike is back..  For 75reps,, this is mental Training too :)

Everett Carroll

Hey Jonas,

Yes, keep strong engagement of your glutes and core. You want to maintain posterior pelvic tilt throughout.

Jonas Berglund

Been a bit of a struggle with a oblique injury coming up. Finally feel good to go again. How am i doing? Still to Little protraction in the top?

terrible. Camerawork but My knees was straight FYI.

Jeffrey Bittner

Hi Jonas,

Good improvement. You are doing a better job of hitting protraction at the top of your reps, however, as you get tired you start to sink. Still work on keeping PPT throughout.

Your iM also looks pretty good. Keep working on getting more ROM on your swings. Your goal is to get the elbows past your ears at the top of your swing.

Jonas Berglund

Thank you for the feedback. This was My 6th set, but no excuses Ill keep doing these Damn 5*15 until they are perfect. It feels to me like the pushup without protraction goes very Easy. The protraction is the sweaty part of the movement. My scapular shrug are also weak.

did not know this about the im Rom, appriciate you pointed this out Jeffrey!

Jonas Berglund

Question to you @Jeffrey Bittner or @Everett Carroll.

With a newborn Home i only have time(&recovery) for foundation once per week. However an extra day of the scapshrug progression should work. this should be benefitial to The protraction strength in the Pushup or am I wrong? Any better Idea?

Jeffrey Bittner

Hi Jonas,

Adding in some scap shrugs is a great idea. Doing so will help you to increase strength and make it easier to maintain strong protraction.

Everett Carroll

Great idea! Throw in an extra set of push-ups and scap shrugs a couple of other days during the week. Just a single set of each should do on non-training days.

Jonas Berglund

Am I ready to go forward or are My protraction still to poor?

Leo Trinidad

Hi @Jonas Berglund,

You can move on now but still keep your incline pushups as your warm up and also strive to even make your protraction better at all times. You'll need greater protraction in the more advanced elements. :)

@Jeffrey Bittner

I want to make sure My mobility is mastered before progressing. Am i doing them better now? THanks in advance!

Alessandro Mainente

Nice range of motion on both the shoulders.
