with just a small rest in between for the mobility?  That mobility work isn't exactly resting either...

Hi LeeLee,

Yes, that is correct 5 sets of 2 minute holds for mastery.

It has been stated before that for this handstand program the exercises count as skill work. Therefore, you can take breaks to supplement the integrated mobility element rest times. The rationale is that for handstand work perfect form is of the essence, and having a surplus of energy will help in achieving good form in the more difficult exercises skill-wise. With that said, I would personally not take more than 3-5 minutes of additional rest at maximum.

Thanks for the replies.  So 3-5 minutes of rest in between sets like typically used for maximal strength training in power lifting?

One you reach the last handstand 1 element you should have the necessary control and mobility to show the minimum effort during the handstand. actually now i'm using the following warm up sequence with no rest in between sets:

1.5 minutes free florr hs

1 minute pbar handstand

1 minute cubes handstand

1 minute wall handstand.

Simply if you feel hard the last set you do not have en effortless handstand!
