How Does form look?

Everett Carroll

Hi Jonas,

Before moving on to the next progression, you want to increase the range of motion in your squat. Ideally, you want to achieve contact between the back of your thigh and your calf. To help improve this more quickly, you can begin or continue with the Front Split Stretch Series. I also recommend holding your deepest squat position multiple times throughout the day. Start with a short amount of time for each hold and gradually increase the length of the holds as you feel comfortable.

For the iM, be sure to keep your upper/middle back nice and firm. Don't sag during the movement of your leg.

THanks everett, Will get right into it!

PE any better? In the IM, i struggle with keeping Shoulders protracted. Any ideas how to improve this?

Everett Carroll

Hi Jonas,

The PE does look better. For the iM, try keeping your elbows totally locked while thinking of pushing your chest away from the floor.

Thank you Everett,, about the IM, when I protract shoulders i feel

Like im losing range of motion in the Hips, so i guess this is a plain and simple mobility issue,, or?

Will put a note on the floor next time "push chest away" :)

Everett Carroll

No Problem Jonas. You don't need to protract 100% like HBP work but those cues might help you to keep more stability through your back. As long as your back doesn't sag or twist, you are fine. I like the note B-)

This time i focused on push My chest away, any better?

i feel the more i protract shoulders the more Limited My hip rotation becomes.

Nice job Jonas. When your back is more stable like this better isolates the movement to your hip.

THanks Everett, Meaning i can Click "Easy" to increase reps or should i wait for better hipmobility for that?

Everett Carroll

Hi Jonas,

Keeping working on increasing the size and smoothness of your circle. Some extra time here working on the iM will be beneficial so you can use the 'Failed Mobility' smiley to ensure you don't advance beyond step 9. Be sure that your toes are pointed as well. On your next submission for the iM, a front and side view will be really helpful. Keep at it Jonas!

I did go back 1 progression for the mobility. 3 sets from different angles in this video. How am I doing?

Jonas Berglund

update how am I doing?

Everett Carroll

Hi Jonas,

I suggest spending some additional time on SLS/PE1>iM to increase your range of motion. Feel free to work on the later iM's as you work to master PE1.

For SLS/PE2>iM, try to lift with more control. You want a smooth lift and a stable back as you raise the leg.

Everett Carroll

Nice work Jonas! Looks good to me!

Jonas Berglund

Appreciate the feedback Everett. Because of an Oblique injury I decided to stay at PE1->im. Not that it felt bad, more for stafety.

Are these still looking ok?

Leo Trinidad

Hi Jonas,

Good call. Yes you can still work on this one and yes it still looks good. :)
