40 yo male here that has been doing CF for about 8 months. My mobility is crap and although I've made good strength gains I had a moderate quad tear during seemingly low weight squats.

Ive just discovered Gymnastic Bodies and have signed up for the Fundamentals coarse. How can I best incorporate the GB training while continuing to train at my CF gym? I don't want to quit CF cold turkey but recognize the importance of the GB base. Cheers!

Welcome to GB Justin! Fundamentals is really going to help you get started with increasing your mobility and give you an idea of what areas really need some attention. You can of course keep up with your current fitness routine while you work through Fundamentals. Let that quad rest, though, and be sure you work with a professional to ensure it heals properly.

Your next best step after Fundamentals is going to be starting Foundation One and all three Stretch Courses. These are a sure way to address any and all of your mobility deficits. Foundation One adapts to your needs, so if in one area you lack in mobility, you will focus on that until it is corrected. Your mobility might be just fine in another area but your strength lacking; in that case, you will work on increasing strength while maintaining your mobility. The Stretch Series will compliment this style of training nicely as, like you mentioned, your mobility is what will likely need the most work. This is true for most adults when they begin GST. The combination of active and passive flexibility in the Stretch Series will facilitate smooth and steady mobility progress.

My advice to anyone with lacking mobility is to make those two courses your main training priority. After that, add in whatever activities you enjoy!
