Hiii

Im just newbie in here.. and eager to do middle split... after follow video about middle split... i did the exercise for 2 -3 days and i feel pain muscle behind the knee...

so heres my question:

1. it is because hamstring pull/ tight?

2. theres some exercise that i could  do to keep progress and safe

3. Is it true that the hurdler stretch should always be avoided?

Cheers

Hi Chandra,

Please remember that the intensity of the every stretch in the series should be very low. Your muscles and connective tissue need to get used to stretching very slowly. It is always best to make slow, steady progress when it comes to stretching and mobility exercises. Never stretch or train through this kind of pain.

Thanks for reaching out. It is best to consult a medical professional about the pain as we cannot accurately diagnose injury on the forum. You should rest until the pain behind your knee is completely gone and ideally get a diagnosis from a doctor.

The hurdler stretches are an important part of the front split series so you should certainly perform. There are tips and modifications for these stretches shown in the 'Course Library' section of your courses. When you do begin stretching again, I suggest going through and watching those videos before beginning the follow along course.
