I'm having trouble building up to the Bent Arm Half Straddle Planche Hold and have been asked to post my progress on the two elements in the title.

Feedback appreciated!

Hey Philip,

Thanks for getting this submission in. Here are my suggestions:

-More protraction: press your chest away from the floor and spread your shoulder blades. Maintain as much protraction and depression as you can in the lean.

-More PPT: Keep more glute and core tension. You have a big arch in your lower back. You will know if you are in the correct body line if your hips/upper thighs touch the floor just before your chest.

-More Lean: The minimum requirement for sPL/PE5 is hands under hips. The minumum for HBP/PE3 is hands under bottom of rib cage. Please keep in mind that those are only minimum requirements and that mastering with more lean for both will better prepare you for later progressions.

I suggest returning to these progressions and working on form. It will be best to take the time and master these with the corrections I listed. Please use the form checks/video review services through the process.

It is also going to be worth starting from PE1 and submitting form checks for those (i.e. Scap Shrugs, Incline Push-ups). It is easiest to work on these things in the easier progressions. You should consider doing the same for all of the elements to ensure no holes in your basics; take the time now to go back and refine them. Then once you build back to the Foundation Two sPL progressions, you should have no issues.

Use these incredible resources to ensure you are performing every exercise with the highest quality.

Hi Philips, addition to Everett status, please perform the exercise while holding the position on the instep. this is necessary to avoid weight variation during the exercise as you are showing in the video. actually this leads to lean variation which it is not acceptable.

Thank you for all the feedback. I'll go back and start to correct the form today.
