Tuck up smoothness

I can get myself up from supine into a tuck up and back down, but not very smoothly. Usually the first one is OK and the second is a flop. Also, when going back to supine, usually one half gets there faster than the other half. How can I learn to move all in tandem?

Hey Sarah,

This may just be a matter of practicing. It can take some time to train your brain to coordinate your upper and lower half. Can you please post a video of your form?

For me it was all a matter of practice. What did also help me was holding myself in the top position for a little while and then a controlled negative.

Same here.

Lower down actively! My form and the perceived smoothness of the movement only started to improve when I (finally) paid attention to the negative part of the rep.

Slow and controlled improves everything. :)
