FOUNDATION ONE - how long do we rest?

Hello people of gymnasticbodies!

I'm new here so please forgive me if this is a stupid question. I tried looking around for answers on the forum but couldn't find any so I'm gonna ask it here.

In Foundation one, it says "Train only one exercise at a time; do not utilize giant sets. When recovering in between sets, rest only long enough to perform the integrated mobility assigned for that specific exercise. Continue in this fashion until you have completed all of the that day's assigned sets/reps before moving on to the next exercise for the day".

Does this mean after a PE set, we rest just enough to perform the required iM reps/hold, and then without resting we do another PE set?

Thanks.

Hi Sandro,

Good question and welcome to the GymnasticBodies community!

You will end up with a little bit of rest in the transition from exercise to exercise, however you should try to keep this minimal. This is to make sure that you've really mastered the required five sets to mastery :)

In regard to your question, yes, the only rest it is the time to move from the PE to the equipment for the IM.

when finished the prescribed sets of the current exercise (like front lever work) you can rest 1-2 minute before moving to the following (like for example straddle planche work).
