Ring height for RC/PE2

I noticed that there's a bit of a discrepancy in ring height between the "technique tip" video and the "follow along video". The ring height in the technique tip video is quite a bit lower.

I understand that having lower ring height will just make it harder, but is there a recommended way to approach things like this? Does it make sense to master the higher ring height first and then drop it down a little further and master that, and then move on?

Some guidance here would be appreciated - thanks!

If you have pe1 down lower the rings a fair bit and start with pe2. Keep it at that level so you can control your progress over time. You dont have to jump from pe1 to pe2 like "standing almost straight at the top of the movement" to "45degr. angle at the top of the movement" at once. Find a ring height in between that you feel challenging yet confident enough to take on. Work at that level for a while. Once it gets easy lower the rings.

Adding to the Bas Abinus's post above...

Going off of information in a previously started thread...  The ring height you start with will vary depending on your physical stature. Remember the course videos can provide a lot of useful information on Coach Sommer's basic mastery standard if you are willing to look for more details.

Hey Cam,

Aim to have your back just off the floor. Keep the height consistent as you train through the steps. If you are in doubt, submit a video for review.

I set the ring height for different exercises according to reference points of my own body, for example Sternum - Navel - pelvis bone - pubic bone etc. This way i can scale the height precisely for every training without using a measuring tape.
