Questions on the Role of the Animal Forms

I have just completed the Fundamental series. I am surprised that the animal forms (ape, crab, lizard ... etc) did not come back into the course, and are not part of the daily limber practice.

Were the animal forms only introduced as tests to find out potential shortcomings, and to point out areas of weaknesses?

If so, does it mean that if one gets really good at all of the daily limber exercises, one would automatically do well on the animal forms?

If not, should one try to incorporate the animal forms into the daily limber sequence? (What might be the best way to do that?)

Or, should one just use them as periodic self tests in the future, after having practicing the daily limber sequence for a while? Presumably, there are better exercises that awaits in foundation series that will replace the animal forms.

Hey Yuan,

This is exactly correct. The best way to proceed is to begin Foundation One and the stretch courses. Nice job on completing Fundamentals!

Keep performing the daily limber and use other lessons from Fundamentals as a measure of progress. It is also productive to pick Fundamentals lessons that gave you particular trouble and include those in your warm-up for F1 workouts.
