L-Pull up - sensation of a lighting struck my biceps

Was working on my L-Pull up today and experienced a short sensation like a lightning of current hit my biceps/shoulder area when lowering down the last few cm to the dead hang position. If i kept my elbows lightly bent i didn´t experience it - but i guess that´s not the goal ;) Also it feels like the 1st cm out of the deadhang position is the hardest, from then on it is "pretty easy".

Any ideas what could be the cause?

Thank you very much, Jochen

If the problem persists check a physio please. maybe @Mark Collins has some ideas.

How is your overhead mobility in an L-sit position? The L-sit locks the spine and really highlights a lack of overhead mobility.

How is the handstand work coming along? As you improve with handstands the L-sit pull up will improve.

Hi @Mark Collins,

I guess my overhead mobility in an L-sit position is not perfect. The handstand work is getting better and better - i still cycle through all iM that i had so far.

Thank you very much

Jochen

I would focus on improving your overhead mobility and train the L-sit pull up in a pain free range. This is the beauty of integrating the programs. The L-sit pull up has exposed a problem that you need to fix. It is frustrating and exciting at the same time.

Will do so @Mark Collins- thank you very much for your advice!

It is getting better and better - i have the feeling the handstand work really helps!

Good to hear.
