Hi everyone,, yesterday i did My first mid split session (full program 40ish min).

Surpricingly, the only sore spot today is My right calf muscle. I did expect sore Calves after front- but not midsplit course. Just want to check in IF this is normal and IF there is something i might be doing wrong or is this "just" a sign of non balance?

by the way, I sense the "good pain signal" and not the " bad pain signal" in the Calf. Checking in the forums mainly because im surpriced about the calf of all the muscles is sending me a Message today.

Well during muddle split the calves are stretched really a lot especially during the pancake work. so i think it is normal.

Makes sense. The beginning stance and side to side squats trains the lower leg from a balancing aspect. I know for me if my lower legs are even slighty sore, I really feel it on the outside edges of the calf when doing standing pancake. That's just from rotating the foot inward tho as you hold up your bodyweight. It's an active stretch for the lower leg among every thing else

Consider the idea of doing a single set of the straight knee calf stretch of the front split course and then 10-20 squat to pike.

then begin middle split!
