Why one skill at a time in Foundation One versus a circuit training?

Hi,

I am wondering why the Foundation One program is trained doing sets and reps for each skill before moving on to the next skill versus training all the skills together as a circuit?

Thanks for clarifying.

Excuse me if this has been asked elsewhere, I searched for awhile but could not find an answer to this question.

Hi Kendra,

That is a great question.

Gymnastic Strength Training focuses heavily on building a solid Foundation. Lots of joint prep and strong foundations will take you far in the program. Mastering the first move will prep you for the next move and so forth. :)

Hi Kendra,

For building strength, multiple sets of the same exercise in a row generally buid a deeper level of fatigue and hence a stronger super compensation response.

Circuit training is more appropriate when seeking a conditioning response.
