How Necessary is Toe Tuck? (Plank and SPP)

Hi guys,

How does tucking your toes under, versus simply balancing on front of the foot, effect exercises such as the Pseudo Plank PU and Straight Arm Plank?

In the Straight Arm Plank videos, one of them has toes tucked under and the other does not. I am wondering if it is recommended to toe tuck for these (and presumably future) movements. The movements are significantly easier for me to keep hollow body when my toes are NOT tucked. So, how tucking v not tucking effects the muscles engaged would be helpful info to know as well.

Thanks!

Jeffrey

You don't need to worry about it for straight arm planks. If not tucking them under helps you to focus more on PPT then do that.
