Confused about warming up, active&dynamic streching.

The first thing is warmup. My question is that 'is it really needed, before static/passive streching ?".

Or in other words, what will be the consequences if one would skip it.

The other thing is dynamic streching. Let's say that if i do warmup/dynamic/static, the next day my hamstrings and groin are really sore, but if i miss dynamic and do only warmup/static then everything is fine, no soreness.

The streches i'm talking about are side lift stretch & front lift stretch (i mean leg lifts).

Would you advise other dynamic streches or maybe some specific warmup to get rid of that soreness.

Do you know any good active streches besides front kick hold & side hold ?

If it has anything to do, considering streching i am a beginner.

Thx for any comments.

Tissue is much more pliable when warm than cold. You also don't want to tear anything. A proper warmup will get blood flowing through the joints and tissues and that will increase your stretching abilities be they on off days or post workout.

Ok, thanks for answer.

I have been looking for answers on the net for some time and i decided to stick to Tom Kurz's "Stretching Scientifically" and i will see if it's a good choice.

And of course, i'm looking forward to "Liquid Steel™" volume.
