SI joint pain in HS PE 1

Hello.  This is my first post here.

I have a nagging SI joint issue on the right side that has been off and on since my rugby days many years ago.

I am able to do PE 1 on handstands, but the tuck position causes a good deal of pain and I quit long before anything else gets tired.  I actually find PE2 easier and more comfortable as a result.  Could I jump ahead?

Thanks!

There is no jumping ahead. You have to get the sacroiliac joint sorted so you can do PE1 otherwise it will limit you later on. For the sacroiliac joint you will need to seek medical advice.
