Rest between exercises

Hello,

just started foundations 1 and it kicked my butt.  Only completed all the reps on all sets on 2 of 7 exercises.  However, I feel energized afterwards.

My question is on rest between exercises.  Once an exercise is completed (Say side lever), can I rest a couple of minutes before moving to next exercise/mobility in the session?

great to be a part of this,

Hi Chris,

If I understand you correctly, you are wanting to rest in between elements, right? The strength and mobility for a single element are meant to be done back to back. Using your example of side lever, if you're on PE1 you'll do your Russian twists with your hip circles back to back with no rest until you finish all your sets. Before you move on to your next element, you may rest for a couple minutes, but try to keep it to a minimum so that you're still working on your endurance as well as strength. As you get stronger you won't need as much rest between elements so build it up as you need to. You want to have enough rest so that you can perform your next element well, but not so much rest that you're not working on your endurance.

Hopefully that answers your question!
