Hi guys, today was my first day of foundation 1. The Mastery was demanding but OK. I only had a problem with the movement of the RC/PE1 which i guess didn´t get cause i could find the correct movement for the hip hinge?
thank you

Welcome Jochen!
The biggest issue is that you are not actually hinging from the hips. Your legs should stay close to ground and not move at all while your upper body goes from being aligned with your torso at the bottom to vertical at the top of the movement. At this point the rings should be aligned with your hips so you may have to adjust your starting position back or forward. When all that is fixed try to reach 90 degree angles 1) between your upper and lower arms and 2) your upper arms and torso as you hinge.
I suggest posting a side view as well next time. Hope this helps.
some tips:
-you should hold the butt 10-15 cm from the floor
-bend in the hips at 90° should be showed
-short straps can compromise the retraction at the bottom
thank you very much! will need another place for the rings - don´t have enough space in my small pit. Will keep trying
Did try it again today - felt way easier that way. Does it look better?
Thank you
Jochen
Hallo Jochen,
looks better. Make sure though that you keep a 90° angle both in your shoulders and elbows when in the top position.
As Leonhard says and also eliminate the little bit of hip movement up and down that remains. But much better - you're close!
thank you guys!
