Hey guys,

is anybody here who doesn't work Mo-Fri? I work at the alert police so my shift work is not really projectable. At the moment i try to hit all the workouts of the week, but sometimes i need to skip one or two workouts and do it the next week. That's the point where my workout schedule slowly starts to fall back week by week. I also stopped doing tumbling because of the lack of time. Is that the way?

Thank you

Joey

Overall consistency is the most important thing to progress, but that doesn't mean it has to be exactly the same time every week, or even the same number of workouts etc. The key is managing to hit each of the 7 elements + HS at least once a week.

The most practical way to manage it will depend on your schedule, what does a 'bad' week look like for you?

Do you have many days with no time at all and then day totally off? Do you have small chunks of time available to you throughout the week?

Give us a picture of a worst case scenario week, and we can help give some ideas.

Kind of worst case was last week. Mo-Wed off, so i hit Foundation and Frontsplit series. Thu-So were night shift days with several hours of drive before the shifts... so i did a small handstand routine, but not my full workout and middle split over the days. So I canceled HS 2, TBs and Tumbling. Luckily I didn't fail my diet :D

One alternative would be to do the Elements / Series that take a longer block of time on your off days. Then shorter ones before hitting the road.

For example if you were working MN/PE2, that's a pretty quick and dirty one that can be knocked out in 10 minutes no problem. Do that before one of your drives and spread out your F work a bit.
