You're allowing your lower body to just hang there. Tighten up at the core and hold your legs together, they will wind up well in front of you at the top of the rep done this way rather than dangling below you.

I agree w/ Cole, hold your body in a hollow body form while doing these. Also, make your first initiation of the pull from the scaps instead of the brachialis. If you keep pulling this way you will have a hard time moving on to the L-sit variations.
